"Robert Lynn “Robbie” Franks, 62, of Hernando, Mississippi passed away on May 19, 2024. He was born on May 16, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from Hernando High School and worked for Yellow Freight / ABF Trucking as a dock worker and city driver most of his career. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 667 in Memphis, Tennessee for 35 years, Teamsters Local 878 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and former owner of Tadpole’s Bait Shop in Hernando. Affectionately known as “Tadpole” he was an avid outdoorsman who spent most of his free time hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be from 12 pm until a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2 pm on Saturday - May 25, 2024 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home - 2470 Hwy 51 S - Hernando, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Hernando Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robbie is survived by his wife, Vicki, his daughter, Robin Walden and her husband, Josh of Winter Park, Florida and his mother, Nancy Franks of Hernando, Mississippi. He leaves behind his sister, Heather Franks, his brother, Shannon Franks and (3) grandchildren, Amber Jo, Lydia, and Jasper. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him and loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Franks, his father, Lynn Franks, his brother, David Franks and his niece, Anna Franks."
