Chris Hope, a member of Teamsters Local 667, was just named "Person of the Year" at the Memphis Most 2023 Community Choice Awards. During the day, you can find Christopher Hope behind the wheel of a UPS truck. For the past 31 years, the lifelong Memphian has proudly suited up for the company as a feeder driver where he delivers a smile with every brown box.
Once that work day is over, Chris goes back to work for others to help those facing the greatest fight of their life.
Chris was born with a longing to help others, especially families who have a child battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
In 2015, Chris created the Chris Hope Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to touching patients’ lives and empowering their families.
The foundation’s focus is on providing emotional support, social services, and the alleviation of financial burdens.
Since launching the foundation, Chris has served countless families in the Southeast experiencing the radical effects of pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Additionally, he leads TeamHOPE as the team captain in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Marathon. In just three short years, the team has recruited more than 150 fundraising heroes to help raise over $561,000 for the hospital.
Whether it be on the job for UPS or through his non-profit organization, Chris is always looking for a way to make the world a brighter place. He believes that when people come together for a cause, great things happen and because of that, he is living out his dream of instilling hope in the hearts of those who need it most.
We are so proud to call Chris Hope our Brother and we proudly sponsor the Chris Hope Foundation.
